Bakakai

BAKAKAI, by Witold Gombrowicz, is a collection of short stories whose composition spans a considerable period of the author's literary life. In a skilful, biting, hilarious and merciless prose, the author exposes the tension (taken to the limit of what is bearable) of some of his favourite subjects: irrational obsession, identity, form, the aristocratic mask, (i)maturity and youth.
