In this session we choose which book we are going to embark on. If you have any suggestions, send them to info@malditalivraria.com. On our end we bring two proposals.
Some books are born from cinema. Others give birth to films. There's no point reading them all, but it surely makes sense to watch (and read) at least a few. The same gaze, at two different paces. For us, always in the same room.
If one of these days you feel like going to the cinema, it wouldn't hurt to go to the Nimas, on Avenida 5 de Outubro. Don't be surprised if you don't know any of the films showing. You'll get used to it.

On page 47, a reference to Aristotle's "Poetics": "A likely impossibility is always preferable to an unconvincing possibility." We'll have "L'Homme compassionnel" for Christmas.
Born in Ukraine, raised in Brazil. One of the most singular figures in 20th century literature. «Even cutting away your own defects can be dangerous. You never know which defect is holding up the whole building.»
