Fanged Noumena : Collected Writings 1987-2007
A collection of essays by the renegade schizo-philosopher Nick Land, featuring futuristic theory-fiction about runaway cyber-capitalism and enigmatic writings in which Ballardian fiction, poetics, cryptography, anthropology, and occultism merge into unrecognizable hybrids.
A dizzying journey through the mind of this provocative and influential thinker. Silicon Valley’s favorite apocalypse philosopher.
“On February 10, the man described as “Silicon Valley’s favorite apocalypse philosopher” landed in San Francisco after nearly three decades away. The setting for his reappearance could not have been more emblematic: the Mediterranean-style mansion of David Holz, the billionaire founder of Midjourney, the image-generating artificial intelligence company. According to New Yorker magazine, around a hundred tech enthusiasts gathered to celebrate Nick Land’s arrival.”
