Pop Script
For the first time, the complete edition of one of Miguel Esteves Cardoso's most iconic works, with two books in one: Escrítica Pop and O Ovo e o Novo.
"I advise readers to read one of the texts in the book: "How to Be a Rock Critic - A Practical Guide", published in 1981 in Música & Som magazine. It is delightful, even now, to read it and imagine the face of many of those who at the time wrote about music and to think, even, how what is written there remains so true even today, not only in music, but also in many other things. Another unmissable text, before we are swept away in the following pages into the vortex of the 80s, is "The Black Book of Pop Music: The Worst of the '70s".
Speaking of the 70s, this new edition of Escrítica Pop rediscovers a little-known text by Miguel Esteves Cardoso, which is truly one of the best music guides I know: "O Ovo e O Novo - (A) Discography of a Decade of Rock, 1970-1980".» From the preface by Manuel Falcão
