“A literary explorer of 21st-century fears.” – La Vanguardia

Thousands of cases have already been reported: real people, of all ages and social backgrounds, from different continents and connected online, come into contact with one another through the latest technological invention.

From Vancouver to Hong Kong, from Tel Aviv to Barcelona, kentukis are spreading rapidly to every corner of the world, allowing, under the apparent innocence of a toy, a complete stranger to enter our most intimate spaces, leading us into a wonderful adventure, an unexpected love, or, just as easily, an unparalleled terror?

Samanta Schweblin’s second novel, Kentukis reveals the price we pay for our complex and constant relationship with technology, rethinking our notion of voyeurism and exposing the reader to the limits of prejudice, desire, and good intentions.

“What is brilliant is not what Schweblin says, but rather how she says it. Its highly enigmatic and disciplined structure seems to place this book in a new literary genre.” – The New Yorker
