Miguel Esteves Cardoso (b. 1955) is a writer, columnist, and a striking figure in Portuguese culture since the 1980s. He studied Economics, translated, wrote for various newspapers and magazines, and penned some of the most influential columns in the Portuguese press. His work, which includes books such as O Amor é Fodido, A Causa das Coisas and As Minhas Aventuras na República Portuguesa, combines humor, sensitivity, and a remarkable capacity for observation.
